In August of 2022, a project took place in Martinsville, IN with our Cold-In-Place Recycling (CIR) technology.
CIR is a cost-effective and sustainable method of constructing a recycled asphalt-bound layer that reduces trucking and construction time and saves natural resources. CIR is part of our AMICYCLE™ product portfolio, which also includes FDR (Full Depth Reclamation) and CCPR (Cold Central Plant Recycling).

I will be supporting the operations team with compliance, training, best practice and improvement. I will help plant operators figure out how to streamline items and issues. As well as helping with onboarding new employees or bringing on new facilities. I’m excited about being able to work with all facilities in this new role.
At Asphalt Materials, Inc. (AMI), we love every opportunity to recognize and celebrate the remarkable journeys our team members travel and celebrate their growth and highlight their exciting career paths.
We recently announced that Chad Miller was promoted to Plant Manager of our Morris, IL location. Chad’s dedication, growth, and resilience have been an example for many others to emulate.
The Heritage Group’s Government Affairs team alongside Heritage Construction + Materials representatives have worked closely with lawmakers since 2018 on Indiana House Bill 1015, the Worksite Safety Bill. We are thrilled that the bill passed in the Indiana House and Senate and was signed into law on May 22, 2023, by Governor Eric Holcomb.
It is truly uplifting to learn about individuals dedicating their time and effort to make positive contributions to their communities. One such instance is the recent act of kindness by Rod Boldt and Danny Elsberry on the AMI/BITUMINOUS team, who volunteered their time and resources to help raise funds at the South Tama Elementary Booster’s School Carnival in Tama, Iowa.

May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. This is a great time to remind drivers about the importance of remaining aware and alert for motorcyclists. One way that the DOTs are helping keep riders safe is through the installation of rumble strips and reflective pavement markings.
The construction industry plays a critical role in building the foundation of our society. The people that build that foundation are even more essential. Their mental health and psychological safety are just as important as their physical wellbeing.
Congratulations to Kim Gessner and Andrew Eicher and other members of the 2022-2023 LEAP Class.
