Where were you born and raised?
I was born in New York City, but grew up in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.
What did you study?
I achieved my undergraduate degree in Business – BBA Accounting and Finance at La Universidad de Puerto Rico. I went on to earn my MBA in Finance at The Indiana University Kelly School of Business in Bloomington, IN.
What was your first job?
I was a cashier, cart pusher, cleaning guy, etc. at a grocery store in Puerto Rico.
How did you first hear about Asphalt Materials?
Through my local professional network.
What do you like best about working at AMI?
I love the team environment, collaboration, bias for action. There is a high sense of trust in each other and in what we do.
How do you describe working at AMI to others?
It’s a place where you get an opportunity to make a tangible impact. You get a chance to work with a group of smart, fun people. I know it sounds like a cliché, but it’s a family-like atmosphere.
Describe your family.
We are a blended family. It’s me, my lovely wife Amy, my stepdaughters Libbi and Anna, and my two sons Ricardo and Sebastian. Last but not least, our dog and two cats.
What is your favorite TV show of all time?
It’s a tie between Always Sunny in Philadelphia and South Park.
What is your favorite vacation spot?
It varies a lot. Puerto Rico for the beaches, Colorado for the mountains, Italy for the history.
