Fight for a Cure: Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the United States. The average risk of a woman to develop breast cancer in her lifetime is about 13%, meaning there is a 1 in 8 chance of development.  No matter what the percentage is, women who have been affected by cancer are more than a statistic. They are a mother, daughter, grandmother and a friend.  

The month of October is a time to bring awareness to breast cancer and those who have been affected by it. We know awareness alone isn’t enough, so it is important to get involved, get screened and take action.

Iowa Team Makes a Difference at South Tama Elementary School

It is truly uplifting to learn about individuals dedicating their time and effort to make positive contributions to their communities. One such instance is the recent act of kindness by Rod Boldt and Danny Elsberry on the AMI/BITUMINOUS team, who volunteered their time and resources to help raise funds at the South Tama Elementary Booster’s School Carnival in Tama, Iowa.

AMI Quarterly Blood Drive: 72 Indiana Lives Saved

After our last AMI quarterly Blood Drive that took place on June 7th, we have saved 72 Indiana lives through our combined efforts and generous donations. We are so thankful for all of our blood donors. They are incredible! It reminds us that there is no better way to spread the love of life than donating blood to aid in saving others’ lives.
