April had many safety and health awareness initiatives. It is thought of as the beginning of Spring and the start of construction season. More people are typically out and about this time of year. AMI joined the National Asphalt Paving Association and the Watch For Us campaign to drive awareness to the safety of others in construction zones and while we drive without distractions.

During the last week of April, The American Traffic Safety Services Association sponsored Work Zone Awareness Week. There are many THG, HC+M and AMI workers in work zones throughout the year.

The month of April was a great reminder to be aware, don’t drive distracted and be on the lookout for road and construction workers. Although the spotlight for safety is in April, you should always keep your eyes open, do not drive distracted, and slow down in work zones. Let’s all do our part to keep them safe!

AMI Went Orange For WZAW

We were proud that so many of our team came together for Work Zone Awareness Week and wore orange to show their support of work zone safety. NWZAW and Go Orange Day are especially important to the families of victims who have lost their lives in work zones.

We joined NAPA in their Safety Month Competition and Placed Second! Way to go team!
