What are you most excited about for the rest of 2021?
I am excited for the season to kick off and to get out to the plants again! I missed seeing you all and miss the laughs that go along with that. 2021 has brought me back to my hometown, Indianapolis, and it’ll change my last name. I’m excited to see what else this year holds!
What are you most proud of looking back on 2020?
The year 2020 brought so many challenges but also so many highs. It was touching, heartwarming, and really special that so many people came together during COVID. I felt connected to our AMI family when my parents fell ill, and I received many texts and well wishes during a tough time. I’m proud to be part of a community that wants the best for everyone, including those we may not even know.
What business goals do you have for the rest of 2021?
My biggest goal for AMI HR this year is to help employees navigate through all that THG has to offer. This includes being transparent about learning and development opportunities, creating new channels for open communication, and taking a deep dive into where HR has gaps to prioritize the projects that most impact employees. I’m excited that the HR department is growing as we will now have dedicated resources for all employees at every level of the organization.
What are some of your interests outside of work?
Oddly enough, this city girl loves her cows! Since moving to Chicago and then to Wisconsin last year, I have fallen head over heels for a calf named Ruby. I take her on walks, feed her marshmallows and bananas, and give her too many hugs and kisses to count.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I was an Irish Dancer for 12 years, and I have never been to school/work on St. Patrick’s Day! It’s the biggest day of the year for my family. We come together from all over the U.S to celebrate. This is a two-week-long celebration filled with many Irish suppers, going to see our friends play the Bodhrán (Irish drum), and participating in a few pub-ish activities!
Describe your family.
I have two brothers, and I am the only girl and middle child (says a lot), the most amazing parents and grandparents in the world, over 35 close cousins. My little family consists of the PERFECT dog (bulldog Shih Tzu) and an amazing dog/cow dad fiancé that I spend most of my time with.
Do you have any nicknames?
My nickname is Libby, but my legal name is Elizabeth.
