What’s your favorite thing about being a part of the AMI family?

I consider myself very fortunate to work for a company that affords us the ability to continually learn. Maybe it’s just me, but I truly love this business, and this company and will continually commit to getting the job done. Looking forward to everyone’s contributions and continued success throughout 2021 and beyond.

What are you most excited about for 2021?

This year we have many work-related items to be excited about; new teammates, recent acquisition integration, growth initiatives, and supplying high quality products to build our infrastructure.  On a personal note, I am eager to continue improving well-being related activities for my family and self.

What are you most proud of looking back on 2020?

Many items come to mind and too many to list, so to condense it down to one I will say “My attitude”.  Many years ago, on the wall of the 8720 Robbins Road office complex breakroom, a motivational poster had a beautiful outdoor picture and quote that stated, “Your Attitude Determines Your Altitude”. I like to reference the quote as a mental model to keep me focused on moving forward as life’s challenges arise.

How did you structure your business goals for 2021?

My goals are focused around 3 key pillars, 1) People – empowerment and communication, 2) Product – asphalt business fundamentals and business management, and 3) Processes – to drive sustainability and business excellence.  All 3 require being purposeful with my actions and contributions.  In the event someone desires to know more specifics please feel free to call me at any time as I enjoy interactions with all my teammates.

What are some of your interests outside of work?

I enjoy learning and observing weather and nature – wind, storms, rain, sunrise, vegetation, lakes, and natural wonders.

What is an item on your bucket list?

I would love to complete a restoration of a 1946 Chris Craft Wooden Boat.

What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?

Fishing, Boating, Golfing, anything outdoors with my family, and it may sound a little silly but constantly looking at pavements while traveling.

Describe your family.

I have a wife named Kelli and I have 3 amazing children; Andrew who is 12, Alli in the middle at age 10, and Asher who is 9.

Do you have any nicknames?

Depends on who you ask, A-man, Red Dog, and a few co-workers at the Indianapolis plant get a kick out of calling me Pitbull.
